This morning the bean plants bit the dust…sort of. Those darn Mexican bean beetles were still at it so I opted to cut all the foliage off and see if I can coax the plants to releaf and continue producing. After tying the top of the bag full of leaves, I put it in the sun to bake for a week in order to kill any leftover eggs or larvae. So, we shall see what happens next! Always fun in the veggie patch!
What have you done to battle the Mexican bean beetle? Any new ideas besides starting all over?
