This is such an exciting time for gardeners. Blooms are appearing, bringing the promise of beautiful flowers, veggies are bursting through the soil, and the days are starting to warm! Isn’t it exciting to walk through your garden every morning to see what new has come within the last several hours? It is an amazing process!
Seedlings have been planted for the cut flower garden and are starting to take off. I pinched the first few cosmos blooms to encourage more growth.
The beans have sprouted, the broccoli is coming along, and the tomato plants are well on their way! Soon we will all be enjoying the fruits of our labor. (literally speaking)
This year I am launching a new service just for the gardener. I like to think of it as Garden Sitting. Garden season also coincides with vacation season. (Who thought this was smart?) Like pets, gardens still need to be looked after while you are away relaxing. Have you thought about who will make sure your veggies and potted plants are watered? Who will harvest? Do you really want to impose this task on your friends or neighbors?
Garden sitting takes the stress out of leaving your lovingly tended garden in the hands of fate…or the forgetful neighbor. Do contact me if you live in the Greenville, SC area to get on the Garden Sitting calendar for 2016.
